Fitness Programs

My personal training philosophy is that physical fitness is not something that's achieved, but a lifelong pursuit of a healthier you. My goal is to help educate people on the techniques of training and help give them the motivational tools to necessary to become a leaner, fitter, better functioning individual. Resistance training and circuit training are incorporated into a customized program to improve cardiovascular endurance and strength.

At Fitness Concepts we have modern equipment including free weights, kettle bells, TRX™, Hammer Strength weight machines, and resistance bands for strength training. We also have ellipticals, treadmills, and rowing machines for improving cardiovascular performance. I instruct each client on proper technique for each exercise and can tailor a program to each individuals likes and limitations.

As a certified TRX™ suspension trainer I like to incorporate TRX™ into circuit training and I also offer individual TRX™ lessons. I feel that suspension training has several advantages for both the beginner and the elite athlete. Suspension training consists of bodyweight exercises where either the user's hands or feet are supported by an anchor and the opposite end of the body is in contact with the ground. Using a single point of fixation allows the user to modify the percentage of body weight suspended while allowing for mobility. This allows the user to train strength, balance, flexibility, core stability, and coordination all at once and across a wide range of resistance.
